data-end=\"285\">The Institute for Polymers, Composites, and Biomaterials (CNR) of the National Research Council (CNR) has a mission focused on developing polymers, composites, and nanomaterials with customized structural and functional properties. These materials are intended for diverse industrial applications, including agriculture, food, health, biomedicine, and energy sectors. CNR takes charge of the entire life cycle of polymers, from their synthesis or extraction from natural sources using sustainable methodologies, to the manufacturing, application, and disposal of the final products. CNR has a consolidated expertise in creating polymer-based products for the agricultural sector. These products are designed to enhance agricultural production and safeguard the environment by effectively delivering nutrients to the soil and protecting plants from parasites and infestations. In the BioBIVE project, CNR will undertake the development of sprayable polymeric geo-membranes. This involves formulating the polymeric materials and active compounds extracted from the targeted BioBIVE feedstocks, i.e. antagonistic microorganisms and bioactive agents in their natural format and\/or micro\/nanoencapsulated. CNR aims to optimise the production of innovative pesticides on a laboratory scale. These products will be capable of encapsulating and delivering the biobased fungicides efficiently, meeting the specific demands of plants at various growth stages, and maximising yields under distinct soil conditions.
