European Researchers’ Night 2026
Trondheim (Norway), Bari (Italy) and León (Spain)
De European Researchers’ Night is a Europe-wide public engagement event that brings research and researchers closer to the general public through interactive activities, demonstrations and educational experiences. It aims to showcase the impact of science on everyday life, encourage scientific curiosity and inspire the next generation of researchers.
In 2026, three BioBIVE partners participated simultaneously in the European Researchers’ Night in three different countries: SINTEF in Trondheim (Norway), University of Bari (UNIBA) in Bari (Italy), and the University of León (ULE) in León (Spain). Through their participation, the partners shared the objectives and ongoing work of BioBIVE with the public, raising awareness of the project’s efforts to develop more sustainable crop protection solutions by combining bioactive agents with biodegradable delivery systems. These activities provided an excellent opportunity to engage with citizens, communicate the importance of sustainable agriculture, and highlight the role of European research and collaboration in addressing agricultural challenges.
