The Webinar on Pesticides and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) was a two-day online event jointly organised by DG SANTE en DG AGRI. The webinar was the first initiative of its kind organised by the European Commission in this policy area, with the primary objective of strengthening collaboration between researchers and regulators to facilitate the uptake of research outcomes into the European market.
The event provided an excellent platform to discuss innovative and sustainable approaches to plant protection, promoting dialogue between the scientific community, policymakers and regulatory authorities. For BioBIVE, it represented a valuable opportunity to contribute to these discussions and to highlight how its research on natural bioactive compounds and biodegradable controlled-release systems can support the future of sustainable crop protection in Europe.
