Dr. Ana Ibáñez, researcher at ULe- Universidad de León, participated in the 48th International Congress of the Spanish Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SEBBM), where she presented the main results obtained so far within the European project BioBIVE.
As project partner, ULE contributes to the screening and selection of bioactive agents with antifungal activity against phytopathogenic fungi affecting horticultural crops. This work aims to identify promising candidates for the development of more sustainable crop protection strategies, reducing reliance on conventional pesticides. Participation in SEBBM 2026 provided an opportunity to share BioBIVE’s progress with the scientific community and exchange knowledge on current advances in biochemistry and molecular biology.
