Researchers from the Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro (UNIBA) represented the BioBIVE Consortium at the 17th International Congress of the Mediterranean Phytopathological Union. Organised by the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM), the congress brought together leading phytopathologists, plant scientists and agricultural researchers from across the Mediterranean region to discuss the latest advances in plant health, disease management and sustainable crop protection.
During the congress, the BioBIVE team presented the project’s latest research, highlighting innovative approaches based on natural bioactive compounds and biodegradable delivery systems for the sustainable control of plant pathogens. The event provided an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge with the international phytopathology community and strengthen collaborations aimed at addressing current and future challenges in Mediterranean agriculture.
