At the INNOVA Awards 2025, Carlos Barreiro, together with the BioBIVE team from the Universidad de León (ULE), accepted the INNOVA Award in the Environment category on behalf of the entire consortium, recognising the project’s commitment to research, innovation and environmental sustainability.
De INNOVA Awards, organised by Diario de León, a highly respected regional newspaper with more than 120 years of history, recognise outstanding initiatives across several categories that contribute to scientific, technological, environmental and socioeconomic progress. This distinction highlights the impact of BioBIVE’s research and acknowledges the collaborative efforts of all project partners in advancing sustainable solutions for the future of European agriculture.
