BioBIVE participated in the NanoAgriForest webinar, an online event bringing together researchers and stakeholders interested in the application of nanotechnology and advanced materials to sustainable agriculture and forestry. During the webinar, the BioBIVE consortium introduced the project’s objectives and presented its innovative approach to developing biodegradable controlled-release platforms for crop protection. The presentation highlighted how encapsulation technologies can enhance the agricultural sector by both protecting bioactive compounds during formulation and processing and enabling their controlled release under field conditions, thereby improving their stability, efficacy and environmental performance. Through BioBIVE, these strategies are being applied to the development of next-generation delivery systems for sustainable plant protection products, contributing to more efficient and environmentally friendly agricultural practices.
