KICK OFF WEEK

The BioBIVE Project was officially presented at the University of León’s Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in June 2024, marking the commencement of collaborative efforts among the international partners.

The project proposes an innovative solution based on the development of controlled-release systems for biologically based compounds with bioactive properties to control plant pathogens in various horticultural crops (tomatoes, carrots, strawberries). This control will minimize the environmental footprint by reducing the use of fossil-based materials in the production of agricultural plastics and decreasing the use of synthetic pesticides.
