The Agrarian Technological Institute of Castilla y León serves as the gateway to the technological aspects of the agricultural and agri-food sectors in Castilla y León, including applied research and infrastructure development. The Institute also works to promote agri-food products from Castilla y León in close collaboration with various operators and entities.

With the aim of implementing broader programs and focusing on improving the competitiveness of the region’s strategic agricultural and agri-food sectors, as well as their processing industries, the Agrarian Technological Institute of Castilla y León was created. It operates under the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of the Regional Government of Castilla y León.

The mission of the Institute is to promote the development of innovative capacity in the agricultural and agri-food sectors of Castilla y León and to ensure that investment in its activities continues to benefit citizens.

The Institute’s plans are designed to further apply agricultural research and innovation, develop satellite-based technologies and services, and foster the regional agri-food industry.
