Supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union, EIT Food brings together a unique network of partners from industry, academia, startups, and research centres across Europe.

With a mission to transform the way we produce, distribute, and consume food, EIT Food supports cutting-edge innovation, entrepreneurship, and education. Its goal is to ensure that future generations have access to nutritious and sustainable food, while empowering consumers and promoting healthier lifestyles.

EIT Food runs a wide range of programmes that support startups and scaleups, drive research and innovation, and offer lifelong learning opportunities for professionals and the public. Key focus areas include: healthier lives through food, reducing risk for a fair and resilient food system and net zero food system.

By fostering collaboration among key actors in the food value chain, EIT Food aims to accelerate the transition towards a more resilient and fair food system for all. With hubs located across Europe, it ensures regional diversity and relevance while addressing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and public health.
